This class is the first of two that address the muscles of the deep core that help us with functional mobility. If this team of tissues is sleepy, low back pain is more likely. Today, we address the pelvic diaphragm (or pelvic floor) and transverse abdominis muscles. Our movement is bookended by somatic mapping and connecting to the pelvic floor with a tennis ball. We initiate a supportive internal bracing of these deep core muscles which we bring into our Yoga flow of Sun Bs, balance poses, and seated hip stretches. You will feel empowered, centered, and calm.
